NEW MONTH COMPETITION!

Hello everybody!!How is your memory working? All right? Are you sure? Well, this is your opportunity to prove it and win a reader. You will find 2 Aucas below. In one of them (Auca B) you can see 6 different places (towns, cities, villages) you may now be familiar with, -for instance Valencia is # 2. In Auca A there are  6 sights of Valencia. Can you recognize them?
Good! Contact your peers in the Comenius and send us the answer to iescampanar11@gmail.com
There are three readers for you.
(Of course Valencian students can only do but the first one. Auca A was actually made by a student, -thanks Borja).
SOLUTIONS: Thanks for the answers!!
We have worked out the places in the pictures. Late but, anyway, we wanted to participate:
AUCA A (The second table of pics):
1. - Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (museum of art and science)
2. - Torre plaza de Campanar
3. - Torres de Serrano
4. - El Micalet
5. - Paseo de la Malvarrosa
6. - la Mascletà
Greetings from Lipník

AUCA B
1.-Lipník (Czech Republic)
2.-València (Spain)
3.-Luneburg (Germany)
4.-Chillon Castle and Lake Léman (Switzerland)
5.-Ajka (Hungary)
6.- London (UK)
B.Sanz guessed AUCA B and students in Lipník guessed AUCA A so a reader will stay in Valencia and two readers will travel to the Czech Republic.

EUROPE DAY AND VIDEO CONFERENCE

Comenius Week was celebrated in many schools from the 2nd to the 9th of May with different activities. Other schools celebrated Europe Day so it is clear last week was one to remember. We are all  rowing together shoulder to shoulder on board this great boat that Europe is and this deserves a special recognition and celebration.
At IES Campanar, Valencia (Spain) we concentrated the activities on the 5th of May. We had a Powerpoint presentation -on the Comenius project we have in common, from 9 to 12 non-stop in the hall for everybody to watch. And we also held the video conference with Ajka (Hungary) and Lipník nad Bečvou  (Czech Republic). The sound was not very good but when it failed messages were a good remedy.
The students have been in touch with their peers in the other partner schools since the beginning of the project but we always find a video conference most motivating. Now that the end of our project is around the corner and before a likely new one, we could be all in eTwinning!
Anyway, this is a photo of two of the students using one of the laptops we had prepared for the video conference.

2nd SPECIAL MATHS PUZZLE (MAY 2011)

Find the largest multiple of 25 that has all its digits different.

SOLUTION: Taking into account that the last two digits of the new number must be divisible by 25, the  solution is then 25, 50 or 75. Since we are looking for the largest multiple this will be  9876432150.
